When we moved into our house in 2022, we were very lucky to find out about Marc through another contractor. The house needed a complete electrical update. Marc installed a new fusebox to replace the old, outdated version, and also removed some of the old wiring & boards. He also upgraded the garage fusebox. In the house He fitted several new sockets, some with USB, as well as replacing some old ones. He fitted new ceiling lights, spotlights & wall lights. Outside he fitted a new external double socket for using in the garden. In 2023 He upgraded my Mum’s fusebox, fitted new sockets, and checked the electrics in her house. Recently he disabled our broken cooker, ready for a replacement. He is currently working on our summerhouse putting power in and sockets. He is very reliable, hardworking, and communicates well. He is a pleasure to have around! We can highly recommend him.

The new board has been fitted very neatly in comparison to the old one and Marc explained clearly what remedial work was needed following an EICR check. Marc from EM Electrical did a long list of jobs & we’re delighted with the results. Initially we arranged for Marc to look at the property and discuss the plans. This was arranged by phone/ text. Most correspondence from them on was by text which allowed us to confirm etas. Here are a few of the jobs Marc completed: —

1 Marc removed, replaced, & relocated a bathroom light. The original light fitting was not suitable for wet environments like bathrooms, so Marc advised on the correct IP rating light for over a bathtub, he rerouted the cabling, so the new safe LED lighting was centred.

2 We had removed several built-in cupboards which had revealed cabling to some double sockets that had been incorporated into the cupboard wall. This had to be repositioned and the was cabling rerouted by Marc.

3 over the whole property Marc added additional circuits to give more sockets. In total 18 brand new metal double sockets were created some in stud walls/ some in brick walls (we don’t like extension cables), and 8 existing socket outlets were replaced by Marc with USB metal sockets.

4 Marc also upgraded 8 light switches from the old plastic type to new stylish metal switches so all the double sockets, USB double sockets, and light switches match.

We are very happy with Marc’s quality of work, communication, and fees. Thanks again.

Marc fitted a new induction hob to replace a broken one.  It was not the simple job it appeared as the hob had to be fitted into an existing granite worktop which then needed to be altered by the granite workmen.  This impacted on Marc’s existing appointments, but Marc fitted round the new arrangements.  He even provided a temporary hob until the granite work was done and the new hob installed. Marc also discovered an electrical cable was not the correct voltage and replaced it.  He is an efficient and knowledgeable electrician who did a good job and cleaned up after his work. I would certainly use him again.

· Removing radial socket cable from MCB as it was already supplying a 32A ring circuit.
· 6mm earth cable upgraded.
· CO detector was connected into the switched side of the boiler FCU – Detector will now be connected into the smoke detector system.
· Hall light refixed.
· Outside socket was wired surface in soft flex with a taped up connector block joint – it is now rewired correctly with an IP rated outside socket being supplied and fitted.
· Faulty electric Shower downstairs – supplied, fitted and plumbed in new shower.

· Outside socket was wired surface in soft flex with a taped up connector block joint – it is now rewired correctly with an IP rated outside socket being supplied and fitted.
· Faulty electric Shower downstairs – supplied, fitted and plumbed in new shower.

Marc from EM electrical came as a recommendation from a friend and I would absolutely recommend him to others. He was early (when does that ever happen?) And did a great job for an even better price. To top it all off he noticed a few things in the property that were unsafe and took it upon himself to fix them for no extra cost while he was here which was completely unnecessary.

Saw smoke at around tea time coming from the back of my cooker. I phoned Marc and he was able to give me advice on what to do which prevented a fire from starting in my home. He came out that night before 7 and identified there was a problem with a plug and sorted it for me. Would definitely recommend Marc!

Had Marc out to do work several times of the last 2 years. Marc has done a number of jobs for us including, installing security lighting, sockets, internal lights, sensors, external lighting, heating system fuse box, isolating switches & certifying of units. Marc was recommended to me a year ago from a decorator I had doing work for me and have used him many times since then. Marc always tidies up and leaves the house spotless and even took his boots off at the door. He is courteous, polite, well mannered and was great with the children. Took time to explain exactly what he was doing when installing new electrical sockets. Fully trusted him so the point I felt I could leave him in the house working. When I came home and discovered a fault with a switch I called Marc and he came straight back to sort it even though the fault was due to another tradesman working in the house. He fitted extra lights & sockets in the garage, fitted outdoor sockets, LED lights, and installed under counter lighting in the kitchen. Marc is very reliable, he has never let us down. Once he had a problem with his van and he text to say he was running a bit late. He is very considerate and is willing to go and get what is needed for a job.
